"Lost Melodies" was inspired by the music that touches my soul, perhaps a song that rekindles a fond memory or a sad chapter in my story. When I hear those first notes there is an instantaneous stirring in my heart. I listen to music as I paint, it is an integral part of my practice. There are times when a song touches me so deeply the piece I am working on takes on the lyrics and the lyrics become the art.
